I'm BACK!!!

Hello world! I've been on vacation for the past few years but am now back and ready to blog!! It's been an awesome few years so I will start from today and then tell you in future blog posts what has happened over the past four years!

Yesterday we went to vote! ;-) The first female candidate for president, Hillary Clinton, is running against a poopie-head named Donald Trump. I really hope that Hillary Clinton wins. That's who we voted for and I hope you did too. Post soon -- Amelia

Cousies!

Wow! I am so excited. My cousies Emery and Anderson are staying the weekend at my house!

This morning, we all got dressed and went to Kerbey Lane for an awesome breakfast. Then we went over to Costco to do our grocery shopping. Emery, Anderson and I got to ride in the same grocery cart.

We had such a great time! Then we drove to pick pecans together. Emery, Anderson and I got to be the testers. We did a good job. They were delicious. :)

Then we drove to meet Nammie and Poppie for lunch. It was so fun to meet up and see them.

Then we came home and made Maple Pecan Shortbread Squares using the pecans that we gathered earlier.

Is that cool or what?!! Then we played a great game of Candy Land. We all won which I am told does not happen very often.

Then we had dinner, had our baths and got to make yummy, delicious S'mores. Uummmmm, S'mores. They were so good.

We watched a little bit of the movie 'Tangled' and then it was time for bed. Night, night. What a great day!

Fun Weekend!

Wow! what a fun weekend! On Friday night, Mommy, Daddy and I went to vote. It was so much fun! I got to vote with Mommy in her booth. There were all of these really fun people in line and I even made couple of new friends.

Then we had our Friday date night at Costco and bought the new Tinkerbell Secrets of the Wings movie, went home and snugged up in bed and watched the movie together. I got to stay up way late.

On Saturday, Mommy, Daddy and I went to soccer and my team and I had an amazing game. We won!  Then Mommy, Daddy and I went to see the movie Wreck It Ralph. It was a really good movie!

Then on Sunday, Mommy, Daddy and I went to the gym. I got to make two bracelets and met a lot of new friends.

Then later on Sunday, we went to a Fall party that my neighborhood had and I got to go to a petting zoo. They are so much fun! I cannot decide whether I like the bunnies or the chicks better.

School Movie Night

Tonight my school had an awesome thing called movie night! It was totally, totally, totally fun. I'm serious. They put on the movie 'The Lorax' and we all go to watch it.

I got to bring my sleeping bag and my pillow.  They were showing the movie in the school gymnasium. Mommy and Daddy were able to come too! Before we went to the movie at my school, we picked up Jimmy Johns sandwiches for dinner and ate them at my school.

When we walked into the movie theater, err ... gymnasium, all saw a whole bunch of my friends I got to hang out with them during the movie. We played, shared lovies, chased each other. It was a blast. I cannot wait to do it again real soon.

Labor Day!

Wow! What a fun day! Today was Labor Day. I don't know why they call it that. 

Mommy, Daddy and I got up early and rode to Galaxy to have some yummy breakfast. Then, we rode to baby store to pick out a great present for my new cousin that is coming. I bet she will love it. Then we rode a little further and went to the pet store. We saw the cutest kitties. Then we rode to the book store and I picked out some new books to read. Whew, it started to get hot, so Mommy, Daddy and I rode back to our house.

Later, we went over to spend time with our family. I got to put on my bathing suit and play in the water with my cousins, Emery and Anderson. We had so much fun. 

Uncle Eric was trying out his new grill and was cooking hamburgers for the family. They were delicious! Way to go, Uncle Eric.

What a day! I might need another day off to rest from my day off!

Sheet Tent

Tonight Daddy and I put together a tent. Not just any tent though. A sheet tent. Daddy told me all about them and how much fun he had as a little boy sleeping in them. After hearing about it, I had to have one.

Daddy was right, they are a lot of fun. Daddy and I found a really, really laaarge sheet. Then we found some blinder clips, I think that is what they are called. Then we got a got a chair to act as one of the legs of our tent and we used the couch to help clip the sheet and prop it up.

After we put our tent up, we gathered more sheets and made a place to sleep in our tent. Daddy and I got some popcorn and watched cartoons. It was really a lot of fun. I can't wait to do it again real soon!

Longhorns!

Wow! Yes! It is football season! I look forward to this time of year so much. 

Well, it looks like Mommy, Daddy and I needed new Longhorns shirts to wear to help support our team, so we went to the store to pick some out. Mine looks super cute and Mommy's is adorable.

This time was extra special because now Poppy was able to come to the game because he and Nami live here now! Wooohoo!

We went tailgating before the game. We met my great friend, Bella and her family at their tailgate. They really know how to tailgate. They even had their own smoker there. Bella and I played princesses until it was time to go to the game.

Mommy, Daddy, Poppy and I walked all the way to the tip, tip, tippy top of the stadium. We could see everything! We all had hot dogs and nachos. They were delicious! We were versing Wyoming today so I made sure I put on my extra sour face for them when they tried to take the ball from my Longhorns.

We stayed until it was really late. We won the game! Yeah, Longhorns! Fight! Fight! Fight!

Mint Julep

Today, Mommy and I were working in our garden and were wondering what we could do with all of the mint that we have growing. At first, we thought that we would make mint tea. Then Mommy had an even better idea. She suggested we learn how to make Mint Juleps.

We took a bunch of the mint inside and Mommy and I got to work. When we were done preparing the mint, we took some of our yummy lemonade and made our delicious drinks.

Mommy and I surprised Daddy with our delicious creation and tried it out together. 

It was so delicious. I think it was just as good, maybe even better than the one that we had at Disneyland.

Nah, better. Then after we finished all of our drinks, I went upstairs, took my lovies out, rearranged them, put them back, went into my playroom, played with my toys for a few seconds, went downstairs, then upstairs, then downstairs, then upstairs, jumped on Mommy and Daddy's bed, went back into my playroom, then into my bedroom, then watched a movie on Mommy and Daddy's bed and fell asleep.

Gravity, Gravity Don't Touch the Ground

Tonight Mommy, Daddy and I went clothes shopping for Mommy. While we were shopping, we made up this awesome game called 'Gravity, Gravity Don't Touch the Ground'. We are still working on the name. We played the game with a new blue bracelete that I got. You take the bracelete and balance it on your shoulder and try not to let it fall. Then you try to balance it on your head. Daddy and I took turns. It was really fun.

Then I showed Daddy my talents as a fashion designer for the 'Gravity, Gravity Don't Touch the Ground' team. I showed him the line of clothing that I had designed as well as the clothes that my cousin, Emery and Anderson had designed. Daddy really liked this story.

We all had a really fun evening and Mommy found some great looking shirts.

Blues on the Green 2012

Last week we went to our first Blues concert. IT WAS SO FUN!!!

Cheep-Cheep... what's that sound mama?

What can it be? I hear it over by that bush... but when I look I don't see anything.

Wait! If I look really close I see something red. Is it a beak?

It's a lady Cardinal!! What's she doing in that tree?? (Look at the bottom middle of the photo - to the left of the purple flowers)

She's going to be a mama!!

We got a bird feeder and bought special food that Cardinals love. That way she doesn't have to go far when her babies arrive.
