My New Husband

Today I was proposed to at recess on the playground. It was by my new husband, Gavin. It was a very tender moment and I remember it like it was yesterday. We were on the playground. Gavin walked up to me and I hugged him. He looked me right in the eyes and said, "... alright, I'll marry you." True story.

Now I will have to break the news to Daddy.

Jumping into a good book

Amelia: Daddy, you know one time I tried to jump into one of my books? It didn't work though.

Daddy: Oh, I'm sorry. Well, will you promise me that if you do figure it out that you will come back?

Amelia: Sure.

Daddy: How will you come back?

Amelia: Easy ... I will jump into the sky.

The Sun

Mom, did you know the sun is a steaming hot bowl of lava? I know I'm right... Seriously.

My New Joke

This evening Daddy was putting me to bed.  After my bath, I was really excited and running around. I would not hold still. Daddy was trying to get my attention long enough to put on my pajamas.

He said in a loud voice, "1, 2, 3, WHO DO I SEE!!"

To which I exclaimed, "3 LITTLE UNDERPANTS SITTING IN A TREE!!!"

Daddy dropped his arms to his side ... paused for a moment and then started to laugh out loud.

Yep, .... I know how to keep out of trouble. Daddy loves a good joke, especially my good jokes. I've got that man wrapped around my little finger.

Fire Safety and Sunny

This Thursday at school was Fire Safety day. We learned about what to do during a file from real firemen! They even brought their big fire engine for us to see.

The lessons that we learned got me thinking about Sunny. I think that maybe Sunny might have been playing with matches and that is why she might have passed away. I still can't prove it, but right now I am gathering evidence. Daddy says that he never saw Sunny playing with matches, but Daddy wasn't watching Sunny all of the time. Who knows what she did in her fish bowl when we were away.  I will let you know when I find out more.

New York City - Day 3

I just realized that I never told you about my last day in NYC with Mommy. In the morning we (as you can probably guess) went and had bagels. Did I tell you that I love bagels? I don't know why I can't eat them every day. They are so delicious.

Anyway, after breakfast we took the subway to Chelsea to walk through the Highline Park. It was so cool. Mommy said it used to be an elevated train track that they have now turned into a park. There were pretty flowers, fountains, places for us to sit and relax, and the view was beautiful.

We had such a nice morning just walking through the park!

Here's how the park looked before the city started working on it.
Another picture from before (hey... check out that
awesome building in the background!)

And after! So cool!!

Freedom!!!! No holding Mommy's hand!!

People just relaxing!

I'd never guess I was in the city
(unless I looked up and saw the big buildings!)

Hey mommy... let's go that way!

Ahh... me and my love.

Mommy - why do you always want to take pictures of me?

After we were done walking the Highline we headed up to Midtown (where our hotel was) and picked up Daddy because he was FINALLY done with his meetings. We went down to Bryant Park again to show him around and relax for a while.

After grabbing a bite to eat at Grand Central Station we stopped by Rockefeller Center where we had dessert with former President Bill Clinton. I showed him my new lovey from the piano toy store, he told me all about being president, and mommy just stared at him. She was so silly... he asked her how she was doing and she just said good. She was so excited to meet him that I think she forgot how to talk. Kinda like how I felt when I met Belle at Disneyland. I couldn't figure out what to say either. But he was just an old guy and NOT a princess so I'm not sure what her problem was.

See... he's back there eating ice cream!

Then we headed to our hotel, picked up our bags, and headed to the airport. We didn't get home until LATE in the night.

It was a great trip. I can't wait to go back!!

To end... a picture of Mommy's favorite building.
She said she think's it's magical.

Goooo Longorns!!

Yesterday was our second game. As you remember, we're the Longhorns! It was really fun! The weather was awesome and the Longhorns did great! I had fun playing with Sydney's megaphone! At first, I couldn't figure out which side to yell into. But after a bit, I figured it out.

Oh yeah, and the "real" University of Texas Longhorns won yesterday too! Hook 'em!!
